• When is the wedding?
    • Saturday, July 13, 2019. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM with reception to follow.
  • Where is the wedding?
  • I just received your Save the Date and can’t wait for the wedding! How do I RSVP?
    • A formal invitation will be sent in the Spring of 2019 with directions to RSVP.
  • Where is Bainbridge Island and how can I get there?
    • To take the Bainbridge Island ferry, you will need to leave from the Washington State Ferry Terminal:
      801 Alaskan Way Pier 52
      Seattle, WA 98104
(click to open Google Maps in new window)
    • The current fares for passengers, automobiles and motorcycles are online (PDF).
    • Be aware that the Bremerton boat loads adjacent to the Bainbridge Island boat, and it can often be confusing. The Bainbridge Island ferry leaves almost every hour; exact schedule here.
    • If you prefer to drive on-board, make sure you take queue time into account. The suggested advance arrival time for vehicle traffic is 45-60 minutes ahead of the scheduled departure. Walk-on passengers should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to sailing.
    • The Seattle to Bainbridge ferry ride has some of the best views you’ll find of Mt. Rainier, the Olympic Mountains and the Seattle city skyline. Enjoy!
  • Where can I stay?
    • Accommodations in the Pacific Northwest can book up quickly during the beautiful summer season. We have blocked several rooms at The Marshall Suites on Bainbridge Island for the nights of July 12 and July 13, but we recommend that you arrange your lodging early (and no later than June 15, when any unbooked rooms will be released). You can find more details under “Accommodations.”
    • It is also possible to stay in downtown Seattle, but keep in mind that you will need to plan around the ferry schedule, as ferries run less frequently at the end of the night.
  • What time should I arrive?
    • Guests are welcome to arrive at The Manor House starting at 3:30pm, when the venue will open. The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00pm.
  • Where can I park?
    • Ample parking will be provided at the wedding venue for those who choose to drive.
  • What should I wear?
    • Semi-formal or cocktail attire is requested. The ceremony and reception will mostly be held outdoors under a tent with additional seating and activities inside The Manor House restaurant and outside on the adjoining courtyard. The ground at the venue is comprised of hard, sturdy surfaces (no grass, gravel, or sand) and almost completely sheltered from rain. The venue is ADA accessible.
    • Summer in the Pacific Northwest is usually moderate to warm, with highs in the 70’s and 80’s on average. However, weather in this region can be unpredictable so we suggest checking the weather a few days before you arrive to be prepared.
  • How can I communicate dietary restrictions?
    • Please include any dietary restrictions with your RSVP or email sarahvh4@gmail.com directly to communicate any questions or concerns.
  • Can I bring my children or pets?
    • No, this event is adults-only.
